2012 is going to be a very exiting year! Our Immingham practice will be relocating to a new site on the Civic Centre and we will continue to invest in the latest ophthalmic equipment.
For the new practice in Immingham we have taken lots of your great suggestions on board.....
- New pre/post testing room, so nobody is walking past you when your on the field machine.
- Private dispensing area
- More frames on display and away from the waiting area
- More natural light, our corner location has allowed us to use a lot more natural light

We would like to welcome both Cath Cavendish and Becci Burrell to our professional team.
Cath has been helping out with Locum work for a few years now, but we are very happy to welcome her onto our permanent staff at Barton.
Becci has joined our Immingham Practice and we are very happy to have her skills on board.
Smith & Walker now employ 5 fully Qualified and registered Dispensing Opticians in our 3 Practices, so whichever practice you visit you can be assured that your spectacles will be dispensed by the highest skill and professionalism.

Our commitment to continued investment in the latest equipment continues with the purchase of a new combi-equipment unit for our examination rooms. This unit consists of a new Slit Lamp, Keratometer and a Projection Chart unit. This investment has been made to insure that we can provide the best Eye Examinations to our patients by using what we feel is the best equipment on the market.

For the past Six months our Barton and Immingham practice have had installed a Photo system that lets you try on Spectacles or sample coloured Contact Lenses and then view yourself on screen.
'We have found this a great success!' says Rob Eastwood, from our Immingham practice 'Patients can now try on numerous new frames and not have to worry about not seeing themselves!!'
The Swing photo system from Optisoft is free to use, so if you have struggled in the past not wearing your Prescription to view new frames then just pop into our Barton or Immingham Practice at any time.

Vision Aid Overseas 1.08.05
Vision Aid Overseas is a charity dedicated to helping needy people in the developing world whose lives are blighted by “refractive error”.
